Our estate sales business has built an esteemed reputation over the past eighteen years, enabling many to effortlessly scale down their household items. We bring to the family and or business the most up-to-date services currently available, which in turn allows one to move straightforwardly into a retirement home, apartment, and or with family.
Then there are those that have passed on leaving the family a house full of items
and memories to sift through. With our knowledge of what to keep and what to
sell we have eased the tedious task of 'What to do'.
Estates come in a variety of sizes and shapes. Yes, that's true. Some homes are three-story with massive amounts of items to price and sell. Others simply a one-bedroom with a minimal amount of items. Each are handled in the same effective manner of selling items. Although setup times will vary, the same procedure is utilized for all estates.
We handle any estate that, we feel has a potential for profit.
If an estate consists of garage sale items only,
we will decline the offer of a sale.
* The family/organization has no financial investment.
* The family/organization may stay for the sale or may wish not to be present.
Either way we are pleased to service the sale.
* Our associates supply all tables.
* All items are then organized in a fashion easily viewed for purchase.
* Each item is priced with pre-priced stickers, which causes no damage to items.
* A table is set up near the entrance used for a cashier to take payments
for all purchases. If needed, we have Master Card and Visa capabilities.
Victoria Gray-Questell, owner of Estate Sales by Victoria, for the past eighteen years has been instrumental with probate officers and trust department personnel, clearing estate items. She, also, appraises items upon request.
Victoria is an art enthusiast, collector, designer, dealer and publisher. Her mission is to assist family members, trust departments, probate court estates, real estate companies, charities and or foundations, to ease the task of breaking down an estate.
Appraisals
Trust departments and Lawyers have utilized our appraisal
knowledge for divorces, estate planning, trusts, etc.
Personal Property appraisals consist of:
~ Home/office contents ~ Antiques ~ Decorative Arts
~ Oriental Rugs ~ Fine Art
* Appraisals begin at $50 for the first item, $10 per item thereafter.
* $60 Viewing/traveling fee, which is credited towards appraisal
of (25) or more items when our services are used.
What does an appraiser do?
Personal property appraisers examine each item, i.e., if appraising a figurine, we determine its condition, examine it for cracks, repairs, and flaws. We also attempt to determine the maker by looking for identifying marks and its rarity. We also make sure if the item/s are genuine or not. Appraisers may consult books or computer databases to find more information about items.
After analyzing all the information, values are assigned to each
item and a final report is written.
